Electronic device under test on a pedestal inside an EMC anechoic chamber
Approved for sale in the EU

Your product is finished. Certification shouldn't take another six months.

We run testing and certification for electronic products end to end, through accredited partner laboratories. One project manager, one plan, one invoice — instead of five lab quotes and a spreadsheet you maintain yourself.

What we do

The regulatory layer on top of the labs

Testing is performed by accredited third-party laboratories. We own everything around it — which is also why we can tell you when a test isn't needed.

Scope and gap analysis

Which directives and standards actually apply, what evidence you already hold, and what is genuinely missing — before anyone books a chamber.

Test programme management

Lab selection, quoting, scheduling and sample logistics — plus someone sitting on the schedule so a failed pre-scan doesn't cost you a launch date.

Documentation and marking

Technical file, Declaration of Conformity, labelling and user information — the paperwork market surveillance actually asks to see.

Global market access

Type approvals beyond CE and FCC: UKCA, Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand, Brazil, Mexico, the Gulf, and the rest as needed.

Sectors

Three kinds of product, three different problems

The standards differ, the failure modes differ, and so does what a delay actually costs you.

Consumer electronics devices photographed on a dark surface

Consumer electronics

Radio in almost everything, marketplaces enforcing hard, and a launch window that doesn't move.

  • RED, EMC and safety in one programme, not three quotes.
  • EN 18031 cybersecurity evidence, now mandatory for radio equipment.
  • GPSR responsible person, before a marketplace delists you.

Medical devices

Where the electrical file has to sit inside a quality system, and the auditor reads both.

  • IEC 60601 electrical safety and EMC test programmes.
  • Evidence packaged to drop into your technical documentation.
  • Wireless modules assessed as part of the device, not beside it.

IoT and connected products

Many markets at once, each with its own approval, and stock already on the water.

  • One test campaign reused across CE, UKCA, FCC and beyond.
  • National type approvals sequenced so nothing waits on nothing.
  • Cyber Resilience Act reporting duties mapped before they bite.

Already in force

The rules, in numbers

None of this is on the horizon. Each item is enforceable today against products already on the market.

0EU member states covered by one CE technical file
0Hours to file a CRA early warning after an exploited vulnerability
0Hours to the full CRA notification
0RED cybersecurity articles now mandatory: 3.3(d), (e), (f)

Cyber Resilience Act reporting starts

From 11 September 2026, actively exploited vulnerabilities and severe incidents must be reported — for products already on the market, not just new launches.

IN FORCE — 1 AUG 2025

RED cybersecurity

Radio equipment on the EU market must meet Articles 3.3(d), (e) and (f), normally evidenced against EN 18031. If your CE assessment predates August 2025 and hasn't been revisited, that gap is open now.

IN FORCE — 13 DEC 2024

GPSR responsible person

Every non-EU seller needs a named EU Responsible Person. Marketplaces have moved from warning letters to delisting.

ONGOING

Market surveillance

Authorities publish failures weekly through the EU Safety Gate. A withdrawal notice is public, permanent, and read by your retailers.

Process

Four steps, and you know the price at step two

  1. A 20-minute call

Bring the product, the markets you need, and any testing already done. We'll tell you on the call whether we're the right people.

  2. Written scope and fixed price

Standards list, lab plan, realistic timeline — not a lab quote with the risky parts left out.

  3. Testing, managed

Samples, bookings, witness sessions and retests. You hear from one person, not four laboratories.

  4. File, marking, market

Technical file and Declaration of Conformity assembled, marking checked, approvals filed where they need filing.

Who it's for

Best fit, and honest limits

A good fit if

  • You hold an FCC grant and now need Europe, the UK or Asia.
  • You've funded a hardware campaign and promised backers a date.
  • You're launching a connected product into several markets with nobody in-house who owns compliance.
  • You sell into the EU or UK from outside it and want the obligations handled, not hoped away.

What we are not

  • Not a laboratory. Testing is done by accredited third parties, and we say which one and why.
  • Not a certificate mill. If a product needs a redesign to pass, you hear it early rather than after the invoice.
  • Not a substitute for your own diligence. You keep the legal responsibility; we make it satisfiable.

Scopes we work across: EMC and EMI · radio and RF · RED · product safety · RF exposure · energy and efficiency · RoHS and REACH · national type approval.

Questions

The ones we get asked first

How long does certification actually take?

For a typical radio-enabled consumer product with no surprises, a CE and UKCA programme runs in weeks rather than months once samples are in a lab. What stretches timelines is almost never the testing — it's a failed pre-scan nobody planned for, a missing technical file, or a lab booked without checking its queue. Those are the parts we manage.

Do you run the tests yourselves?

No. Testing is performed by accredited third-party laboratories, chosen per project and named to you. We are the regulatory and project-management layer on top, which is why we have no incentive to sell you a test you don't need.

We already have FCC. Does that shorten the European work?

Often, yes. Radio and EMC data from a competent lab can frequently be reused, and the gap is usually narrower than people expect — safety, RF exposure, and now the RED cybersecurity articles. The scoping call exists to work out exactly which parts carry over.

What does it cost?

You get a fixed written price after the scoping call, covering our management and the lab work as separate lines, so you can see what goes where. We don't quote a number before we know the product — anyone who does is guessing.

Can you act as our EU or UK Responsible Person?

Talk to us about it on the call. It's a named legal role with real obligations, so it's a deliberate arrangement rather than a box we tick.
